It is often said that Shohrat Saheb has done more for Nowgawan and its people than any other person before him. This in no way should detract from the generous and selfless deeds of many others before him or during the current period.
There continue to be several individauls and organizations that are always working for the betterment of the people of Nowgawan Sadat. But here we highlight some of Shohrat Saheb's accomplishments:
In the late 90's, Shohrat Saheb built the main road in the town. About 3 Km's at own expanse.
In early 80's, built Shohrat inter college and Industrial Training Insttitute (I.T.I) at own expense.
Re-built Jama Masjid in Nowgawan.
Currently constructing Dargah at the Najafe-Hind, Jogi Pura, U.P. India. Current costs stand at Rs. 40,00,000. The work is continuing. The new Dargah resembles Imam Ali's Rauza at Najaf-e-Ashraf, Iraq.
Shohrat Inter College and Shohrat ITI, currently have approximately 1400 enrolled students. Students come from all communities in the area representing all religions. The graduates from this institute have changed
the complexion of the town, by working throughout India and abroad and bringing economic prosperity to the area.
He has sponsored and held a Jashn on Imam-e-Zamana's birthday for 38 years. The Jashn named 'Mehfil-e-Noor' is held each year at Babul-ilm madressah on 15th day of Shabaan. Mehfil-e-Noor attracts all of the top poets from across India. The mehfil lasts all night. The decorations, preparations and arrangements are top notch. Mehfil-e-Noor' incurs costs of several lakh rupees each year.
His involvement in azadari during Muhrram and also throughout the year is exemplary. He is life-long supporter of Anjumane Abediya, an anjuman consisting of thousands of members.
